The Oklahoma Homeless Response Team is a completely voluntary, self-organized effort of individuals seeking to help the homeless in their area.
OHRT members operate independently but collaborate with the network to provide assistance to homeless individuals in their area.
Assistance provided by OHRT members may include:
- Providing assistance referrals
- Collaborating with the network to connect homeless to resources they need out of their region
- Arranging transportation for the homeless to reach shelters
- Putting together and distributing seasonal packs of items for the homeless
- Connecting with local businesses
- Spreading awareness online and offline
- and more!
You provide assistance in your time and on your terms.
As an OHRT member, there is no obligation to do anything, no meetings you have to attend, or donations you have to make. You simply help in the ways that you want and as you are able.
