Ask the program you are visiting
- Shelters, clinics, case managers, and support programs sometimes have bus passes or transportation assistance even if it is not advertised prominently.
- Ask whether help is limited to medical appointments, employment, housing appointments, veterans services, or other specific purposes.
Plan the return trip too
- Before accepting a ride or using your last bus fare, check how you will return or reach your next destination.
- If you have mobility limitations, tell the provider when you call so they can explain accessible transportation options.
