The J127 Ministry exist to aid young ladies 18-26 who have aged out of the foster care system, or are orphaned or homeless due to lack of family. They will provide a loving environment, focus on the individuals needs and help reinforce them in critical life skills, emotional support, spiritual growth, and education needs. Moving in to J127 is free! Their program aims to teach you how to identify your own living expenses and work to provide for yourself once you leave. In month three of our program, you will begin to ‘practice’ paying rent based on your level of participation in the program. Upon your transition from J127, you may be eligible to receive a portion of that money back as a nest egg for your next phase of life. Residents live in community with other young women, similar to a college dorm. There are expectations like housekeeping, a code of conduct, curfew, etc. Women in the community of J127 participate in life skills classes, and other social and recreational activities. Each resident is expected to spend about 25-30 hours being productive every week, doing things like working, volunteering, going to school, and working on personal goals. Office Hours M-F 9:00-4:00.It takes one-two weeks from the time you turn in application to move in date.
