Verified Oct 9, 2026 Shelter Food Support Services Referral

About this resource

Emergency shelter serving single men, single women, and families with children; provides meals, showers, laundry, case management and connections to housing and supportive services. Operates an on‑site Food Resource Center (Impact Hunger) to provide groceries to people in need (see notes on Food Resource Center hours/eligibility).

City Rescue Mission operates a housing-focused emergency shelter for single men, single women, and families with children in the Oklahoma City metro. On-site services include three meals a day, showers, laundry, case management, identification assistance, employment readiness and connections to housing resources and community partners. Shelter beds are assigned on a first-come, first-served basis. The organization also operates the Impact Hunger Food Resource Center (a grocery-style distribution program) — third‑party listings and local news report that the Food Resource Center offers appointment-based shopping and limits on frequency/number of items (see sources).

Family intake must be initiated by phone using the family intake extension sequence. How to access this service
Shelter: Individuals seeking shelter should present in person during the intake hours listed below to check bed availability and complete the intake process (staff do not hold or reserve beds). Family intake: families with children age 18 and younger should call the main line and follow the family intake extensions (call (405) 232-2709, select Extension 2 → Extension 4 → Extension 1) and leave a detailed voicemail; staff will return the call. Women: come to the Women’s Center during women’s intake hours. Men: go to the Men’s Center at the men’s intake location during men’s intake hours.
