About this resource

Faith-based prison re-entry and transitional residential program providing housing, meals, clothing, transportation, case management and employment support for people released from incarceration (separate men’s and women/family programs).

Hand Up Ministries, Inc. operates residential re-entry/aftercare programs (transitional housing, food, clothing, transportation, phones/address, mentorship/counseling, addiction recovery support, classes and employment assistance). The organization presents a three-phase reentry model (stabilization, transition/employment, transformation/success) and operates separate application tracks/campuses for men and for women/families.

What to know before you go

Hours / availability
Housing is subject to availability; accepted applicants may be placed on a waiting list. (No daily office hours are published on the organization's site.)
Eligibility
Program targets returning citizens recently released from prison (prison aftercare). The organization runs separate tracks/campuses: HUM 1 campus serves men only; there is a separate Women & Family application. The men's application page explicitly instructs that married couples/families should not complete the men's application and should use the family application instead.
How to access this service
To apply: download and fully complete the aftercare application (include your release date). Submit the completed application by one of the methods shown on the organization's application page: email to [email protected] or [email protected]; fax (numbers shown on site pages vary: 405-738-8910 and 405-232-5871); or mail to 2130 SE 59th St, Oklahoma City, OK 73129.
