What to know before you go

Hours / availability

Hotlines are staffed 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Shelter access is by calling the 24-hour domestic-violence hotline (405-917-9922) or the State Safeline; shelter is emergency/short-term residential (see YWCA for length of stay and case-by-case extensions).

Eligibility

Crisis services are for survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, and stalking. The emergency shelter is a certified shelter for women and their children (shelter admissions restricted to survivors meeting the program’s domestic-violence/sexual-assault criteria).

How to access this service

For immediate danger call 911. To request shelter or crisis services call the YWCA 24-hour Domestic Violence Hotline at 405-917-9922. For sexual-assault crisis services call the 24-hour Sexual Assault Hotline at 405-943-7273. You can also contact the Oklahoma State Safeline at 1-800-522-7233. For non-emergency administrative inquiries call 405-948-1770 or use the YWCA contact/messaging options on their website (Get Help).

Cost

All crisis services and shelter programs are provided free of charge, per YWCA Oklahoma City.
